APPLICATIONS FOR VACANCIES AT THE SENIOR VISA OFFICER LEVEL - TEMPORARY ENTRY

The Immigration Section of the Australian High Commission, New Delhi is seeking suitably qualified people to fill expected vacancies at the Senior Visa Officer level arising in the next 12 months. Note that the vacancy is restricted to applicants who can obtain an Australian Security Clearance.

Potential vacancies would be filled on a full time basis on an initial contract term until 31 July 2016 subject to successful completion of up to six month’s probationary period with the possibility of a contract extension.

Applicants are advised to read the attached job description, duty statement and expected work level standards of the Senior Visa Officer Temporary Entry position prior to addressing the attached selection criteria.

NOTES FOR APPLICANTS

• Applicants must be citizens of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Britain or United States of America, who are entitled to work at a diplomatic mission in India and who currently hold (or can obtain) an Australian security clearance.
• The successful applicant must hold, or can obtain, a valid visa with work rights or Person of Indian Origin status. Prospective applicants are responsible for checking their eligibility for a visa.
• Relocation costs are at the expense of the employee, including travel, personal effects and accommodation in New Delhi.
• In considering this position, applicants should make themselves aware of the Australian taxation arrangements for Australian citizens working overseas.
• The monthly salary range for the Senior Visa Officer level is INR 151,758 to INR 180,999. The commencement salary will be determined based on the skills, experience and qualifications of the successful applicant.
