How to Obtain Your Visa Label
If you have lodged an application for a visa in Australia and you have been advised in writing by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship Office in Australia that your visa has been granted, you can submit your passport to our office for a visa label to be placed it, in the following ways:
At VFS Global:
A service delivery partner has been appointed to collect passports on behalf of the Australian High Commission Visa Office in New Delhi. Passports from all states in India and Nepal can be lodged at VFS Global Service visa application centres.
VFS visa application centres are open from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday. A VFS services fee is charged for each passport submitted.
Applicants who lodged their passports through VFS may track the location of their passports on line through the visa website.
By Courier:

In Person at the Australian High Commission:
Alternatively, clients may seek an appointment to lodge applications at the Visa and Citizenship Section of the Australian High Commission, New Delhi. From 3 March 2008, clients will not be admitted to the Australian High Commission without a prior appointment.
Appointments are required at the Australian High Commission for:
• lodgement of visa applications
• submitting outstanding documentation
• collection of visa/citizenship decisions
• placement of visa labels in passports
• general enquiries
Appointments can be made by:
• e-mail visa.newdelhi.appoint@dfat.gov.au; or
• telephone +011 4122 1000 (ext 350) (please call between 09:00-11:00; or 15:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday).
If e-mailing us, you will need to include your name and passport number and the purpose of your appointment. You may include a telephone contact number if you wish.
For persons wishing to make an appointment to lodge an application, please ensure your application is complete and that you have all the necessary documentation. Forms and information about visas for Australia are available from our website at www.immi.gov.au. Incomplete applications may result in longer processing times.
For persons wishing make an appointment to submit a passport for evidencing of a visa label into their passport, please ensure that you have a blank page in your passport and the passport itself is not damaged.
When making an appointment please advise the appointments officer of any special needs you may have. Please also advise your full name and the names of any other persons in your group applying, dates of birth and passport numbers.
