Alternatively, clients may seek an appointment to lodge applications at the Visa and Citizenship Section of the Australian High Commission, New Delhi. Clients will not be admitted to the Australian High Commission without a prior appointment.
Appointments are required at the Australian High Commission for:
• lodgement of citizenship applications
• submitting outstanding documentation
• collection of citizenship decisions
• general enquiries
Appointments can be made by:

• telephone +011 4122 1000 (ext 350) (please call between 09:00-11:00; or 15:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday).
If e-mailing us, you will need to include your name and passport number and the purpose of your appointment. You may include a telephone contact number if you wish.
For persons wishing to make an appointment to lodge an application, please ensure your application is complete and that you have all the necessary documentation. Forms and information about Australian citizenship are available from our website at http://www.citizenship.gov.au/applying/index.htm . Incomplete applications may result in longer processing times.
Delivery of certificate
Please advise in writing how you wish to collect the citizenship certificate. If you have an active passport application with the Consular and Passport Section, your child’s ‘Citizenship by Descent’ certificate can be forwarded directly to the Section, if so advised by you in writing.
