Applications Invited For Vacancies For Team Leaders

The Immigration Section of the Australian High Commission, New Delhi is seeking suitably qualified people to submit applications for expected vacancies for Team Leaders arising in the next 12 months.

Potential vacancies would be filled on a full time basis on an initial contract term of up to 2 years subject to successful completion of a six month probationary period with the possibility of a contract extension.

Applicants are advised to read the attached job description, duty statement and expected work level standards of the Team Leader position prior to addressing the selection criteria (see below).

• The commencing salary for the Team Leader position is INR 94,499 per month with opportunities for advancement in salary up to INR 113,992 per month depending on an annual assessment of performance.
• Employment benefits are dependent on the contract term offered and may include leave entitlements, salary bonuses, provident fund and medical insurance. Please note that the conditions of service are currently under review at the High Commission and are subject to change.

SELECTION CRITERIA – TEAM LEADER

CRITERION 1
Describe a situation that demonstrates your ability to lead a team to deliver high quality outputs efficiently (Maximum 300 words.)

CRITERION 2
Describe a situation where you have led a team to identify and implement an innovative improvement or solution to a process or issue (Maximum 300 words.)

CRITERION 3
Give an example or examples where you have demonstrated your ability to liaise with a stakeholder on a significant issue to achieve an outcome (Maximum 300 words.)

CRITERION 4
Give examples of your ability to interpret and apply complex legislation and policy, and use sound judgement for decision-making, including managing complex or sensitive cases. (Maximum 300 words.)
